Interested in joining us? Attend our Central Committee Meetings generally held the 2nd Tuesday of every month, and often preceded by a lecture.
Missoula County Democrats are seeking new Precinct Captains (also called Precinct Committeeman / Committeewoman) for our Committee. What is a Precinct Captain? In short, Captains represent small areas of the county and make up the Missoula County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC), the local grassroots organization of the Democratic party. Serving as a Captain is a great way to start your involvement with local and state politics. No experience is required! Meetings are monthly, and you can learn as you go. Precinct Captains serve for 2 years and can help recruit and support candidates, organize events, or help those in their neighborhood register to vote. Anyone interested can file for election in their precinct until March 11 (see info here). Candidates are elected on the Democratic primary ballot in the June 4 primary. Capains can also be appointed by a vote of the Committee - email [email protected] if you'd like more information or to be considered!
Come hear Ryan Busse talk with us about his path to the Governorship and his priorities for Montana -- on Tuesday Feb 13.
