UPCOMING EVENTS:
Announcement: The Missoula County Democrats are seeking qualified applicants to be the Democratic candidate for Missoula County Attorney in the November 2024 election. All applicants must reside in Missoula County. All applicants will be required to submit a relevant resume and letter of interest, complete a factual questionnaire, and participate in a forum with other candidates. Finally, to ensure applicants will uphold Democratic ideals, applicants are required to provide the name of a Central Committee member who will officially nominate them for the position.
Pursuant to Montana Code Annotated Section 7-4-2206(3)(b), county Central Committees have the power to nominate candidates to fill a vacancy in this circumstance, when the office is open due to resignation.
A resume, letter of interest and brief questionnaire is due by 7 p.m. on May 4. Please contact [email protected] for more information, or for a copy of the questionnaire.
Candidates will be invited to take place in a forum starting at 7 p.m. on May 14 at Goodworks Ventures, 129 W Alder. Central Committee members will elect a candidate at that meeting, following the forum.
This meeting is open to the public. Register to attend via Zoom here if you can't make it in person.
